The Great Canadian Cottage Book (2023)
The concept for this book from Collins was a book you could leave at the cottage, with short articles about nature, recipes, and trivia. I collected and wrote up a number of Canadian ghost stories, as well as stories of adventure in the wildnerness, and articles about the natural environment.
The Best Baby Names for Canadians (2007)
Another interesting project – we were to add Canadian information to a list of names and meanings. We contacted government agencies across the country to compile lists of popular names. One of our most interesting discoveries was how new parents want variety. Children are now more likely to receive a name that is unique in their province (for that year) than they are to have a name in the top ten.
Haunted Word Search Puzzles (2024)
I enjoyed the ghost stories of M.R. James, and I had an idea for taking excerpts from some good stories and turning them into word search puzzles. Read highlights from the story while solving a puzzle.
